Today in class we tested our competency, in the use of making pin cushions using the sewing machine.My pin cushion is in the shape of a heart and has demonstrated competency. I can now engage in the process of Technological Practice to make a t-shirt for myself. cant wait.

Today in class we had to make a cereal and 5 gimmicks to intrest the viewers!

We had to make a co-co crunch cereal with 5 gimmicks to make you interested in buying it, I set the scene with a bright background and a fun and cute character that will attract young people, buy the cereal and download the cool game. There is an appealing sign that tells you that the cereal is new and improved super crunch and don't forget to get the flyer at the bottom of the box to enter in the CRUNCH contest. Creative writing

In homeroom, we have been doing some creative writing here is one of my sentences. The house has been lifted from the water, memories come to Bens' head as the photos, water and fish flow out the windows and tears drop from his eyes.

In music we had to pick a famous singer and do a quick inqury on them I did Beyonce!

Food tech

This trimester JHMC are doing Food Technology. We are learning how to purchase, prepare and store food safely and properly. Tuesday's lesson was on Bacteria and how to prevent it in the kitchen. Bacteria are tiny micro-organisms which under certain conditions can cause food-related illnesses.

There are many different types of bacteria and it is important that food is handled, prepared, served and stored correctly so that bacteria cannot grow and cause illness.

Most bacteria grow when there is warmth, moisture and air. Foods such as meat, chicken and dairy products are the most likely to cause illness if they are not handled safely.

They can be kept in the refrigerator for short lengths of time otherwise they should be stored in a freezer. They should never be left on the bench. Every lesson we cook something new, such as muffins, pikelets, rice salad, mousetraps and pinwheel cones. This week we made a rice salad with ham, veggies, garlic and ginger here are some pictures. The food was yum and healthy, we can’t wait for our next lesson.

This is our first time that we had the chance to work in the food room, we made mouse traps and banana smoothies and learnt what to do in the food room from using equipment to cleaning up at the end.

I knew I heard a noise well I was sleeping, I look at the ticking alarm clock WHAT it's 3:00 am we are going to be late for our flight. I jumped out of bed to go to wake everyone up but as I look into the lounge there they all are. Mum and dad sitting on the couch, there’s my sister on her phone with her eyes red like the flames of a fire oh yeah and my brother he’s watching tv half asleep in his PJ’s ok we need to go dad said as he grabs the passports.
